To continue my review of Tea Spot, here is one of my new favourite bubble tea stores: Tea&Co

This store opened in Burwood at the start of this year, and it’s right down the road from Teaspot. After trying it once, I’ve pretty much never been to Teaspot again. Why? The Teaspot in Burwood is highkey a trek to get to since you have to walk all the way up Burwood Road whereas Tea&Co is right next to the station. Most importantly, one of their tea bases has just absolutely won me over: the four-season alpine oolong milk tea. It has the perfect bitterness and sweetness and adding their fresh milk jelly just gives a creamy and concentrated tea flavour. The Tea&Co advertisements also say “The four-season alpine oolong tea base is rich in antioxidants, which may boost immunity and reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes”. Assuming that they’re adding tonnes of sugar in the process of making the drink, that’s probably not the most reliable advertisement but I’m sure milk-tea lovers would gladly believe it. They also have an interesting menu, with a series of coffee-tea mixes as well as iced brewed teas so for those coffee and milk tea friend combos, here is the place to visit! They’ve got seasonal tea bases as well, so rush to get the early spring supreme longing, which is on the bitter side but very rich and fresh for people who enjoy just pure tea.
