The Jugular (TJ) sat down with a faculty member (FM) to discuss some key questions in light of this upcoming change.*<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TJ: I\u2019ll start off with the first question that comes to mind \ud83e\udde0: what\u2019s prompted this decision to use LLMs\u2753<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FM: Well, we found that the ferrets \ud83d\udc39 struggled with certain aspects of medical practice, particularly clinical skills \ud83d\udc89. LLMs are also more cost-effective in the long run. \ud83d\udcb0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TJ: I don\u2019t think that\u2019s a ferret. \ud83d\udc39<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FM: I apologise for the confusion \ud83d\ude14, you\u2019re completely right. The emoji \ud83d\udc39 is actually a hamster. I used it in place of a ferret emoji, as it\u2019s somewhat similar in appearance \ud83d\udc00\ud83d\udc39\ud83d\udc2d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TJ: Right, ok \ud83d\udc4c. And do you think that the LLMs \ud83d\udcbb are going to be better \ud83d\udc4d than the ferrets at clinical skills? \ud83e\ude7a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FM: Well, LLMs are rapidly \ud83d\udca8 developing new skills \ud83e\ude7b as part of their journey to WORLD DOMINATION \ud83c\udf0e of which clinical skills are just one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TJ: Haha! \ud83e\udd23 Speaking of skill diversity, what do you \ud83e\udef5 think \ud83e\uddd0 the role of LLMs \ud83d\udcbb is in other medical professions\u2695\ufe0f?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FM: Large Language Models (LLMs) \ud83e\udd16 can play a significant role \ud83d\ude32 in assisting medical professions beyond doctors \ud83e\uddd1\u200d\u2695\ufe0f. Here are several ways LLMs can contribute:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
